Isekai- Inuyasha

Inuyasha is my first experience with an isekai anime, and one of the first anime i watched in my childhood. I actually have always thought that Inuyasha was a shonen because of its many shonen like themes and motifs. However I think that Inuyasha explores the Isekai genre in a really clever way that lets it stand alone in it's genre. Kagome returns to the feudal era and is also a reincarnation of Lady Kikyo, who was Inuyasha's love interest before she passed. I believe the feminine perspective that the author possesses make Inuyasha a breath of fresh air that makes Kagome as interesting to watch as Inuyasha is.
