Ayako
Ayako is about Jiro's dysfunctional family in a post WWII setting. Ayako is a little girl who was born from Jiro's Father, but her mother is Ichiro's wife, sister in law to Jiro. This is the conflict that is built throughout the first few chapters. There are multiple layers of complexity to Jiro himself, he is missing an eye, has post war trauma and is struggling to find work after coming home. Jiro's struggles are made even worse with the combination of his family and mental health. Despite this Jiro seems to retain a sense of justice. He is an interesting character and I am interested in seeing how Ayako plays a bigger role in the story later on
Ayako is a pretty interesting story and the intentional level of detail to give each character their own personality.
